The generic name of this medication is Aluminum/Magnesium antacid/Simethicone. Used in the treament of treating symptoms of increased stomach acid and gas.

The various components of this medication work in the following manner:
Simethicone breaks up gas bubbles in the stomach;
Aluminum and magnesium antacids work towards reducing acid levels in the stomach.

Common Uses:

Used in the treatment of:
Relieving symptoms of increased stomach acid as in acid indigestion; heartburn; and stomach upset;
Relieving symptoms of increased gas such as belching; bloating; and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut.

Off Label Uses:

None noted thus far.

Side Effects:
Abdominal pain;
Black stools;
Constipation;
Deep sleep;
Diarrhea;
Dizziness;
Fainting;
Headache;
Irregular heartbeat;
Loss of appetite;
Mood swings;
Muscle weakness;
Nausea;
Pain with urination;
Shallow breathing;
Tiredness;
Vomit that resembles coffee grounds.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in children below six years of age;
Not recommended in pregnant women and nursing mothers unless advised otherwise.

Drug Interactions:
Amphetamines;
Phosphate supplements like potassium phosphate;
Quinidine;
Salicylates like aspirin;
Sodium polystyrene sulfonate.
