I've been using Symbicort 200/6 turbohaler for many years. I was on vacation in Thailand, felt very sick after waking up in the morning. My partner took me to a hospital and I was seen by a doctor immediately. My temperature was high, my heart rate was 99bpm and irregular, also i had breathing problems. The doctor diagnosed me with pharyngitis, white spots in my mouth and throat. I was treated with oxygen immediately, then he prescribed to me many pills including antibiotics which I took over a seven day period. Since then my throat has not recovered fully, no pain or discomfort but partial loss of voice still exists. I suffer from several more side effects, too numerous to mention in detail, eye problems, dizziness etc. My really BIG question is, if I stop using the inhaler, will my side effect symptoms disappear? I've already emailed pharmaceutical manufacturers who suggested that I ask my doctor, I already did that, he doesn't know. I was snubbed and looked down upon for asking such a question, even laughed at as if I was an alien. I thought it was a simple question, but alas no, apparently it's none of my business, money and profits are much more important to them I feel. Having researched many websites which list all the side effects, my conclusion is that, some inhalers should be on the dangerous drugs list. I suspect that drinking alcohol and even some illegal drugs have less risks related to side effects. Said without predjudice of course. Nevertheless, always do what your doctor says, if you don't know what's good for you.

Severe muscle pain and neuropathy pain with full dose. Severely increased airway reactivity and increased obstruction after 2 years use. Neurological side effects, central apnea, twitching.
