Warnings
The generic name of this medication is albuterol and brand name is AccuNeb.
AccuNeb is manufactured by Dey L.P.
The active ingredient of this medication is albuterol sulfate and inactive ingredients are sodium chloride and sulfuric acid.
Mainly used in treating breathing problems in children 2 to 12 years old who have asthma.
Common Uses:
This medication is used to treat asthma-related breathing problems in children 2 to 12 years old.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Cough
Dizziness
Headache
Nausea
Nervousness
Sinus inflammation
Sore or dry throat
Tremor
Trouble sleeping
Unusual taste in mouth
Vomiting
Cautions / Warnings:
Not advisable in patients allergic to any ingredient in AccuNeb Solution.
Not advisable in patients using another short-acting sympathomimetic bronchodilator (eg metaproterenol or epinephrine).
Not advisable during pregnancy, pre-pregnancy.
Not advisable in patients with heart problems (eg fast or irregular heartbeat, heart failure).
Drug Interactions:
Diuretics (eg furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide)
Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors (eg entacapone), epinephrine, MAOIs (eg phenelzine)
Beta-blockers (eg propranolol)
Digoxin
