Multiple Sclerosis (MS) treatment

Description
Multiple Sclerosis, which is commonly reffered to as MS, is a disease that attacks the central nervous system. This includes the brain and the spinal cord. The body's immune system attacks the nerve fibers that transfer messages from the brain to the rest of the body.
Causes
No one knows for sure what causes MS, there are many guesses such as genetics and environmental factors but these guesses have yet to be proven.
Prevention
At this time there is no way of preventing MS because the cause of the disease is not known.
Common Symptoms
The most common symptoms of Ms are: muscle weakness, decreased coordination, blurred vision, double vision, eye pain, fatigue, numbenss, bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, dizziness, pain, and depression.
Rare Symptoms
Rare symptoms of MS are as follows: itching, tremors, seizures, breathing problems, swallowing problems, speech disorder, headache, and hearing loss.
Traditional Treatment
Disease-modifying agents, medicine, rehabilation, and drugs intended for controlling symptoms. There is no cure for MS, there are only ways to make living with the disease easier.
Alternative Treatment
Diet, exercise, food supplements, hypnosis, yoga, macrobiotics, and other relaxation techniques.
