The generic name of this medication is baclofen and brand names are Kemstro and Lioresal.

The active ingredient of this medication is baclofen. Inactive ingredients include crospovidone, anhydrous lactose, magnesium stearate and povidone.

Mainly used in treating muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis or other diseases.

Common Uses:

This medication is used in treating muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis or other diseases.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
The some of serious side effects are:
Back pain;
Constipation;
Diarrhea;
Dizziness;
Drowsiness;
Fatigue;
Headache;
Increased breathing;
Increased salivation;
Itching;
Muscle weakness;
Nausea;
Problems urinating.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients.
Kidney problems or kidney failure;
Epilepsy or seizures;
A history of stroke.

It is also not recommended in pregnant women; women who are planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.

Drug Interactions:
The central nervous system depressant effects of baclofen may be additive to those of alcohol and other CNS depressants.
