Autism treatment

Description
Autism is a developmental disorder of the brain characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior.
Causes
The pathology, or the origin, of Autism is very complicated. There is no known specific cause for Autism, making it very hard to map out. Traditional Treatment
Behavior modification therapy is often the most sought after treatment for autism and is more effective if begun early in life.

Treatment with prescription drugs is often paired with behavioral therapy, not for the autism itself, but for the ADD and ADHD that is often co-diagnosed.
