Digestive Aids treatment

Description
A digestive aid is anything that can help with digestion. Digestive aids can be used for all types of digestive problems, and can come in forms of chew, pills, and powdered substances.
Traditional Treatment
Inflammatory bowel disease can be treated with sulfasalazine, mesalamine, infliximab, and cyclosporine. If all medications fail, then surgery is resorted to. Laxatives are a treatment for constipation. A common treatment for peptic ulcers is using a proton pump inhibitor with the antibiotics, amoxillan and clarithromycin.
Alternative Treatment
Natural digestive aids include aloe vera, chamomile, ginger, peppermint. Aloe vera helps with soothing the inflamed mucous membrane. Chamomile tea relieves indigestion and heartburn, and works well for upset stomach. Ginger protects against ulcers and helps relieve nausea.
