Warnings
The generic name of this medication is ibuprofen.
The brand names of this medication are Children's Advil® and Pediaprofen®.
Children's Advil is manufactured by Wyeth.
Mainly used to treat mild to moderate pain, helps relieve symptoms of arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or juvenile arthritis) such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness and joint pain.
Common Uses:
This medication is used to treat mild to moderate pain, helps relieve symptoms of arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or juvenile arthritis) such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness and joint pain.
Off Label Uses:
The off label uses of this medication is in the treatment of fever, menstrual cramps and other conditions.
Side Effects:
Abdominal pain
Acid or sour stomach
Belching
Bloating
Cloudy urine
Decrease in amount of urine
Decrease in urine output or decrease in urine-concentrating ability
Diarrhea
Difficulty having a bowel movement (stool)
Excess air or gas in stomach or intestines
Full feeling
Heartburn
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in patients with the following conditions:
Those with unusual or allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines.
During pre-pregnancy and pregnancy.
Those on a regimen of medications like Ketorolac, Ardeparin, Certoparin.

WELL. i like Advil Childrens because when i was a child i would take it and it would always being down my fever. This is was very good for me because i became very cranky from being sick. I also like advil MUCH more the Tylonel. I dont know why but tylonel never really works for me, anyways good medication i would recommend for anybody [under 11 ]

Well what i really liked about this medication was that it would always relieve my fever. My temprature would go from 100 to 98 in no time ;]

About Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen INN (from the earlier and no longer correct nomenclature iso-butyl-propanoic-phenolic acid) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) originally marketed as Brufen and since then under various other trademarks (See tradenames section). It is used for relief of symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea, fever and as an analgesic especially when there is an inflammatory component. Ibuprofen is known to have an antiplatelet (blood-thinning) effect, though it is relatively mild and short-lived when compared to that of aspirin or other more well-known antiplatelet drugs.
