The generic name of this medication is anagrelide and brand name is Agrylin.
Agrylin is manufactured by Shire Pharmaceuticals.
The active ingredients of this medication are anagrelide and hydrochloride.
Inactive ingredient is anhydrous lactose.
Mainly used in treating patients with high blood platelet levels (thrombocythemia) due to bone marrow problems.
Common Uses:
This medication is used for treating patients with high blood platelet levels (thrombocythemia) due to bone marrow problems.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Back pain
Cough
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Drowsiness
Gas
General body discomfort
Headache
Joint or muscle weakness

Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in patients with the following conditions:
If allergic to any ingredient in Agrylin.
If there is severe liver disease.
During pregnancy, pre-pregnancy and in nursing mothers.
If there is heart, liver, or kidney disease.
Drug Interactions:
Sucralfate.
Amrinone, aspirin, cilostazol, enoximone, milrinone or olprinone.
