About Ailanthus
This deciduous tree is popular in urban centers. Observations about its homeopathic use were first recorded in 1953 by an American homeopath, who described the range of digestive illnesses that occurred in those who inhaled the sickening smell of its flowers. Ailanthus is used to treat glandular fever with a characteristic swelling and redness of the tonsils, white mucus, and a very sore throat that makes swallowing difficult and painful. The glandular fever may be accompanied by a headache, chronic fatigue, and muscular pains.
