The generic name of this medication is alclometasone and brand name is Aclovate.

The active ingredient of this medication is alclometasone dipropionate.

Alclometasone is manufactured by Glenmark Generics Ltd.

It is mainly used in treating itching, redness and swelling of many skin conditions.

Common Uses:

This medication is used in treating itching, redness and swelling of many skin conditions.

Off Label Uses:

None noted thus far.

Side Effects:
Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, difficulty breathing,
tightness in the chest).
Swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue).
Burning, itching, redness, skin thinning and discoloration or swelling.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in patients with the following conditions:
If allergic to any ingredient in alclometasone cream.
During pregnancy, pre-pregnancy and in nursing mothers.
If there is measles, chickenpox, shingles, skin infection, thinning of the skin, tuberculosis (TB) or a positive TB test, and/or have recently had a vaccination.
