The generic name of this medication is isometheptene/dichloralphenazone/acetaminophen and the various brand names are Amidrine; Diacetazone; Duradrin; Epidrin; Iso-Acetazone; and Midrin.

Amidrine is Manufactured by Actavis Totowa.

The active ingredients of this medication are acetaminophen; dichloralphenazone; and isometheptene mucate.

It is primarily used in the treatment of various forms of headaches like “tension” headaches and migraine headaches.

Common Uses:

This medication is used to treat certain types of headaches like, “tension” headaches and migraine headaches.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Allergic reaction that includes skin rash; hives; itching; sore throat; and fever;
Black, tarry stools;
Blood in urine or stools;
Pinpoint red spots on the skin;
Unusual bleeding or bruising;
Yellow eyes or skin.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients.

It is also not advisable in pregnant women; those that are planning on becoming pregnant and nursing mothers.
