Warnings
The generic name of this medication is irbesartan and Brand Name is Avapro.
The active ingredients of this medication is irbesartan.
Avapro is used to treat hyperetension.
Common Uses:
This medication is used to treat hyperetension.
Off Label Uses:
The Off lable Uses of this medication are:
Avapro is also used to treat renal conditions caused by type 2 (not insulin-dependent) diabetes.
Side Effects:
Chest pain;
Feeling faint;
Swelling in the upper and lower extremities.
Tachycardia;
Urinary discomfort;
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended for following conditions:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients;
Renal disorders, liver disorders and congestive heart failure;
It is also not recommended in pregnant women; women planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.
Drug Interactions:
A diuretic (water pill);
Digoxin (digitalis, Lanoxin); or
Anti-coagulants such as warfarin (Coumadin).
