The generic name of this medication is bacitracin and the various brand names are Baci-IM and Baci-Rx.
The active ingredient is Bacitracin.
This medication is used in treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary infection.

Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Serious side effects are:
Blood in the urine;
Lower back pain;
Painful urination;
Urinating less than usual;
Urinating more than usual or more often,
Less serious side effects include:
Burning, or swelling where the medicine was injected.
Mild skin rash;
Nausea;
Pain;
Vomiting.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients.
Drug Interactions:
Adefovir;
Amikacin;
Amphotericin B;
Antiviral medicines;
Cancer medications;
Cidofovir;
Foscarnet;
Medicines used to prevent organ transplant rejection;

About Baci-RX

About Bacitracin
Bacitracin is a mixture of related cyclic polypeptides produced by organisms of the licheniformis group of Bacillus subtilis var Tracy. Its unique name derives from the fact that the bacillus producing it was first isolated in 1943 from a knee scrape from a girl named Margaret Tracy. As a toxic and difficult-to-use antibiotic, bacitracin doesn't work well orally. However, it is very effective topically.
Bacitracin is synthesised via the so-called nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs), which means that ribosomes are not involved in its synthesis.
