Warnings
The generic name of this medication is hydrocortisone and brand names are Aquanil HC, Caldecort, Cetacort, Cortaid, Hycort, Hytone.
The active ingredients of this medication are bactine and hydrocortisone.
This is a topical corticosteroid used primarily in the treatment of rash, itching, inflammation, and other forms of skin disorders including eczema and psoriasis.
Common Uses:
This is a topical corticosteroid used primarily in the treatment of rash, itching, inflammation, and other forms of skin disorders including eczema and psoriasis.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Stinging;
Burning;
Irritation;
Dryness or redness at the application site;
Acne;
Unusual hair growth, "hair bumps" (folliculitis);
Skin thinning/discoloration or stretch.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients or to other corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone, triamcinolone).
It is also not recommended in pregnant women; women who are planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.

I have taken this medicine for allergy related problems, and have not experienced any side effects. However, I did not find it to be 100 % effective is treating my problem.
