Common Uses:
This medication is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Tiredness;
Slow heartbeat and dizziness.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended for following conditions:
Who are allergic to it;
Who have certain types of heart rhythm problems (such as a slow heartbeat, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block), severe heart failure;
Who have breathing problems (such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema), kidney disease, liver disease;
Who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant.
Drug Interactions:
Anti-inflammatory drugs-NSAIDs such as ibuprofen for pain/fever reduction.

I am now 70 years old and started taking ApoBisoprolol 4 years ago. Early side effect effects were a runny nose and strong drop in sexual interest. But more recently my eyesight started to suffer, had acid reflux and I had to be treated for severe pyronei's disease. I also had one serious atrial fibrillation event that needed shock treatment in the hospital to get the heart back to a steady normal rhythm. Over the past year I suffered from dizziness and lost 15 lbs in weight and am still loosing more. I also now have been diagnosed for osteopinia after my BMD was tested. Am now taking calcium citrate and vitamin D. Will be asking my Heart Specialist to change my medication.
