The root of the hyacinth orchid is used in Chinese Medicine to stop internal or external bleeding, alleviates swelling and has regenerative properties in the treatment of wounds. When taken internally, it stems internal haemorrhages in the stomach and lungs, nose bleeds and uterine bleeding.
