Common Uses:

This medication is used to treat infertility in women whose own natural FSH is not sufficient in stimulating follicles to mature.

Off Label Uses:

The Off lable Uses of this medication is, It is used to help the ovaries produce multiple eggs for use in "in vitro" fertilization.

Side Effects:
Severe pelvic pain;
Swelling of your hands or legs;
Stomach pain and swelling;
Shortness of breath;
Weight gain;
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for following conditions:
Who are allergic to urofollitropin medications;
Who are infertility that is not caused by lack of ovulation;
Who have a condition called primary ovarian failure;
Who have an ovarian cyst;
Who have an untreated or uncontrolled disorder of your thyroid or adrenal gland; or
Who have a tumor of your pituitary gland;
Who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant.

Drug Interactions:
Clomiphene.

The generic name of this medication is urofollitropin and Brand Name is Bravelle. The active ingredients of this medication is Urofollitropin and Inactive ingredients are lactose monohydrate, polyvinylpyrrolidone. This medication is used to treat infertility in women whose own natural FSH is not sufficient in stimulating follicles to mature.

About Urofollitropin

Urofollitropin (brand names Bravelle, Fertinex, Follistim, and Gonal-F)is a purified form of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). FSH is important in the development of follicles (eggs) produced by the ovaries. Given by subcutaneous injection, it is used in combination with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) to assist in ovulation and fertility. It is also used with in vitro fertilization methods. The dosage is adjusted to each individual's response.

Its side effects include breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
