Common Uses:

Side Effects:
weakness, tired feeling, nausea, vomiting, feeling like you might pass out;
wheezing or breathing problems after using this medication;
worsening respiratory symptoms;
ear pain with fever;
vision problems.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for following conditions:
Who have liver disease;
Who have osteoporosis;
Who have herpes simplex infection of your eyes;
Who have any type of bacterial, fungal, or viral infection;
Who have a history of tuberculosis.

Drug Interactions:
The following drugs can interact with budesonide:
HIV /AIDS medicine such as nelfinavir (Viracept) or ritonavir (Norvir);
an antibiotic such as clarithromycin (Biaxin) or erythromycin (E.E.S., E-Mycin, Ery-Tab, Erythrocin);
an antifungal medication such as itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral);
an "SSRI" antidepressant such as fluoxetine (Prozac), fluvoxamine (Luvox), or paroxetine (Paxil); or
a tricyclic antidepressant such as amitriptyline (Elavil, Vanatrip), doxepin (Sinequan), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), and others.

About Budesonide Inhalation Suspension

The Generic Name of Budesonide Inhalation Suspension is budesonide inhalation.The Brand Names are Pulmicort Flexhaler, Pulmicort Respules. Budesonide, the active component of PULMICORT FLEXHALER, is a corticosteroid designated chemically as (RS)-11β, 16α, 17,21-Tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20dione cyclic 16,17-acetal with butyraldehyde. Budesonide is provided as a mixture of two epimers (22R and 22S). This medication is used to to help prevent the symptoms of asthma.

About Budesonide

Budesonide is a glucocorticoid steroid for the treatment of asthma, non-infectious rhinitis (including hay fever and other allergies), and for treatment and prevention of nasal polyposis. Additionally, it is used for inflammatory bowel disease. It is marketed by AstraZeneca as a nasal inhalation with the brand name Rhinocort (in Denmark, as Rhinosol), as an oral inhalation with the brand name Pulmicort, and as an enema and a modified-release capsule with the brand name Entocort. It is also sold in combination with formoterol (Oxis) in a single inhaler, with the brand name Symbicort.
