Estring has been a great help restoring vaginal comfort and external labial tissue issues, which had degraded to the point of pain/bleeding. Estring 90 day delivery system is easier than applications of Premarin cream, especially in that I frequently travel, so no packing cream and applicator or ditto Vagifem tablets, which I had also tried but didn't like.

I have had only good results from using estring and it has completely restored my sex-life. I tried going off of it for about 5 months with my symptoms returning. I haven't stopped using it since.

I felt the Estring was the easiest way to resolve being the 1 in 3 who develop vaginal atrophy post-menopause. But over the course of time, my husband and I have found it necessary to remove it to have satisfying sex and I find it can slip out at unwanted times. My recent diagnosis of the rare and very hard to treat vaginal fungus, C. Glabrata, has given me further pause to wonder if the plastic of the Estring is a breeding ground for a biofilm. (Ex. Plastic shower heads have been shown to be more likely than metal to grow biofilms and bacteria including some rare cases of Legionnaires' Disease. (Not so rare - my sister-in-law just survived it and the MD suggested a hotel shower head)
