About Kapoor
In Ayurveda camphor is known as Kampoor and is used to relieve pain. Other common uses are to treat warts, cold sores, hemorrhoids, and osteoarthritis. Applied topically it can be a pain-reliever. It has also been used to increase local blood flow. Camphor has frequently been used topically to treat respiratory tract diseases involving mucous membrane inflammation. Camphor is also used topically as an eardrop, and for treating minor burns. Kampoor is helpful for coughs.
