04 Oct 2014 When I started Letrozole 511, I had minor problems to even mention. The problems started when I got Letrozole from a different Manufacturer, I had more joint paint, emotional depression, mood swings, and no desire to do anything. My husband said I was a different person. I was on anastrozol first and they changed manufacturer on it too, and I had same reaction as above. Did some research and the same manufacture on both medicine Letrozole and anastrozol Letrozole, that's the only thing I came up with. Unless taking Calcium 600 mg, D-3 2,000 i.u., Magnesium 250 mg. and Vitamin B12 occasionally is causing any problems with inactive ingredients of the letrozole from that manufacturer.

25 Jan 2013 Letrozole caused me severe body aches and joint pain, fatigue, insomnia, depression and irritability, and weight gain. My oncologist advised me to switch to tamoxifen but my research tells me it to may cause joint pain and body pain in addition to risks of uterine cancer and stroke. Threrefore I am undecided. Any comments out there?

24 May 2012 My doctor & oncologist were not really sure if I should take letrozole - it was left up to me. They said taking it would prevent cancer from returning (I had a mastectomy) But after 8 mths of taking it I had a blood clot. Now they left it up to me if I wanted to keep taking it to prevent cancer from returning. I worry all the time now whether I should quite taking it or not.
