The generic name of this medication is loratadine and brand name is Claritin, Claritin Liqui-Gels.
The active ingredient of this medication is loratadine.
It is primarily used in used in relieving symptoms of seasonal allergies like runny nose; sneezing; itchy/watery eyes; or itching of the nose and throat.
Common Uses:
This medication is used in relieving symptoms of seasonal allergies such as runny nose; sneezing; itchy/watery eyes; or itching of the nose and throat.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue);
Severe dizziness.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in people that have:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients;
Kidney or liver problems.
Not advisable in pregnant women or those that are planning on becoming pregnant.
Drug Interactions:
Amiodarone.

Loratadine works well for me when I develop my allergy symptoms. It tends to help resolve my symptoms within the next 2-3 hours when I take the drug. I have been use it for a very long time and I experience no side effects from the medication.
