07 Sep 2013 I have found since taking malarone severe joint pain and ache in my legs and arms, and a disturbing numbness to my legs. Its a flu- ey feeling without the fever/cough/ etc you would associate with flu. I've also had two episodes of heart racing anxiety which is not like me at all. My husband was skeptical about this until last night when his heart felt 'funny'. Two more days till we finish our tablets - can't wait.

01 Aug 2013 My menstruation just stopped, I got really bad stomach ache, my doctor said it was due to the absence of menstruation that the blood was creating cloaks. I stopped Malarone and the next day my menstruation came (almost 1 month late, and I'm pretty regular...)

01 Mar 2013 2/52 of malaria prophylaxis on a trip to India. I am a fit 52 year old male, and have very mild hypertension, but on return from my trip, I monitored my blood pressure three times a day and found it went from usual 140/80 to a scary and consistent 190/100. It's concerning that Malarone is the most effective anti- malarial, but seems to have had this side effect on me. Obviously in the absence of any other effective medication, one must take it however.

29 Nov 2011 Great to be able to take tablets for a shorter time frame, however I have experienced dizziness on a daily basis. I thought it may be the heat/lack of water but drinking did not take the dizziness away and the dizziness remains since returning 3 days ago. It has been manageable however, it's just like when you return to land having been on a boat. I would take Malarone again.

17 Apr 2011 I am sure that I experienced some memory loss. Also had upset stomach the whole time on Malarone and several days after discontinuing.
