Neurontin Comments

I was prescribed this for diabetic pain in my heel. Not sure if it is helping or not.

I may/may not have MS (Multiple Sclerosis). I was diagnosed - by 2 neurologists and a neuropsychologist - using MRI, spinal tap and vision test for optic neuritis. The 2 neurologists worked in the same hospital (and jointly owned the MRI imagine machine the hospital paid them to use). Several years later, I finally managed to get to UAMS (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) to a long-awaited appointment with Dr. "Lee" Archer, THE MS specialist in Arkansas. Dr. Archer had me stay until late in the day in order to put me into the most specialized MRI machine UAMS has available. He also did the usual intake, testing my extremities, my eyes, walking me walk with my walker, etc.). Dr. Archer isn't SURE I have MS. I think he thinks part of my problems could be from being beaten severely for a couple of years by an ex-golden gloves boxer. Thank goodness that abusive stalker ended up his grave in '93 from liver cirhossis! I came to see his body in that coffin before I quit looking over my shoulder(s) and still have nightmares where he's chasing me, trying to kill me still yet. It's one of the reasons I have insomnia and fight sleep. One of the other reasons is pain from arthritis, spine, fibromyalgia and insomina itself. Yes, I have been diagnosed with PTSD, along with the GAD version of anxiety and panic disorder. But I'm still alive...at least physically...for what that's worth. So it goes...another day/another night...

Extreme weight gain (combined with other drugs), severe tremors and muscle spasms particularly in hands, legs and face.

13 Jan 2011	i started neurontin aprox 10 yrs ago for severe neuropothy in feet (esp. left) and was taking 600 mg 3 x daily. after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, i was "put on" several different meds, none of which worked and all of which had very unpleasant side affects. inc. memory loss. esp short term. persosnality changes for the worse, I DID NOT LIKE WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO ME. —Posted by susan9toes Respond Display Name: Email: (Required) Notify me of new comments Email me monthly survey results Sending...
