27 Nov 2017 Take it for 5 days so far felt okay the first few days but today I am feeling really tired and irritable.I have a sore head and pain in my chest.It did what it was meant to do,stop my bleeding that had been going on for five weeks which is good but don't think I can carry on feeling so tired,low and irritable.Mood was fine until taking this

14 Aug 2015 Since stopping the medication Ive had horrendous side effects which have meant I've spent the last 3 days in bed and I'm still no better. I'm wondering how long these side effects will last. I stopped meds on Monday and have woken up I'll again today. I have sever hot and cold sweats, headache, muscle ache, nausea, general feeling of being unwell like I'm coming down with flu. Will I feel like this for much longer? It's debilitating.

21 Aug 2016 How did this work out? I have been on 12 tablets a day for the last 8 months(!) and I've been advised to stop them but I feel so rough. I'm wondering how long your sickness feeling lasted for, can you remember?

05 Apr 2015 Excellent outcome from taking this daily. I've had chronic adenomosis (a type of endometriosis) for 29 years. Have been on norethisterone for 2 years to combat the condition, can honestly say it has changed my life for the better. No more disability from the extreme pain, no more exhaustion. It does have side effects of course- most common are no libido,weight gain,depression etc... I, personally plan to continue with this excellent medicine until the menopause is over and there will be no further occurrence of adenomyosis. My specialist recommends I do this if all continues as it has the last 2 years. I will be on it for 15 years or so.

30 Dec 2014 I was prescribed these as my periods are so heavy I was suffering chronic anaemia. The doctor said these would stop my periods and allow the iron tablets to do their job. I take one three times a day. After two weeks on them my period arrived as usual. Now six weeks in and I'm bleeding every day with horrendous stomache cramps every evening. Can't wait to see my doctor next week and come off them as I've tried my hardest and they have caused nothing but misery. Anyone else had this happen?

12 Jun 2014 I was prescribed Norethisterone as I was going on holiday for two weeks. 2 days after taking the pills I started to develop chest pain, I thought it was due to the way I had been sleeping so thought nothing more of it. The pain subsided within 4 days. 3 days into my holiday I had a rash start appearing on my foot, the next day it had spread all down my left and right arm, my back and neck. I thought it was prickly heat so went to the pharmacy to get something to put on it. Nothing seemed to be clearing it up. I went to the doctors whilst on holiday and he said I had a serve allergic reaction to the drug and to stop taking them. A day after stopping taking them the aggressive red rash had started to disappear. It's taken 5 days for the rash to totally go.
