08 Jan 2012 I have taken novacain twice. The first time it worked really well at preventing pain. The second time, I could still feel the pain and discomfort, but that may be due to not receiving enough.

02 Jan 2012 This medication works geat during oral/tooth procedures. It really blocks the pain. However, I feel it lasts a lot longer than it should. And my face always gets swollen/puffy and I usually ahve difficulty eating, drinking, and talking due to temporary paralysis. The benefits far outweigh the side effects though.

19 Jul 2010 When I had a dental operation the dentist used Novocain and I didn't experience any problems. I was considerably groggy and out-of-it when I was pulled out from under.

08 Jul 2010 I had Novocain prior to having my wisdom teeth pulled and it worked well. Made the surgery a whole lot worse.

01 Jun 2010 Did not work for my surgery. I could feel everything! It hurt so bad. It usually works somewhat well, however infections reduce the effectiveness
