07 Aug 2012 I've just started taking PEGASYS inections, and its co-helper drug, ribufurin pills. Just for grins, let me tell you that, a six-weeks' supply of these pills and injections-- before insurance--- cost $2000.00 Pocket change, hm? My co-pay came to $240.00, which, on my reduced income, is still a hefty li'l chunk o' change. I was told to expect flu-like symptoms, but only on-or-about the one day a week that I injected PEGASYS. That has indeed proved true: On the day after I injected PEGASYS, i developed a mild nausea, a kind of "clouded" psyche, skin very tender and achy to the touch, all over, a "lump" in my throat, and a severe sense of the chills. The A/C setting which usually feels right for me in summertime has suddenly seemed FREEZING, and several times I've literally needed to crawl under blankets to warm up. The first night I also awakened at 3am in a mild night-sweat... clammy skin. Yet, three days after the injection, I have not felt anything out-of-the-ordinary, except possibly a reduction in my (usually hearty) appetite.

19 Jan 2010 Has to stop taking it after 6 months (dr suggested 1-1/2 years) I had so many side effects I thought I'd die!!
