26 Mar 2011 I have used Primatene Mist on and off since I was 11 years old, I'm now 56. I have never had any problems using Primatene Mist, other than not liking the horrid taste of the stuff. I do not use any medication if I can avoid it, but Primatene Mist works immediately when my asthma flares up. It is the best and most effective product I have found for those times when I need to treat my asthma symptoms. Although, I must say that I have had severe and sometimes dangerous problems using albuterol inhalers.

12 Nov 2010 The doctors say bad things about Primatene Mist, but have you read the side effects of what they give you instead? I think they don't like Primatene because they can't prescribe it. It has always been a real life-saver for me. I once tried Advaire (not sure of spelling) and I got really sick from that!!!! I threw up both times I was at my friends house and they had a dog, so I used her son's asthma Advaire. It seemed to help at first, but both times made me very sick after a few hours had gone by.

09 Nov 2010 On one hand, I have some weird health problems in the last couple of years and have been warned about long term use of this product. On the other hand, it has saved my life on numerous occasions when I had no other option.

29 Sep 2010 I was prescribed Singulair but never filled it.I consulted my pharmacist,and he said to try the Primatene mist for my wheezing and that should work for me.He said that Primatene is one step under Singulair,so go ahead and try it.also to be careful,and not to use too much of the Primatene.I only use the Primatene when I feel like I have a lot of wheezing.my breathing gets much better after I use the Primatene.not 100% better,but considerably better.

10 May 2010 Primatene works quickly and effectively with usually only one application. It does increase my heart rate temporarily but is back to normal by the time my airways open up.
