I was prescribed this drug when I had a severe sinus infection and kept vomiting. The drowsiness associated with this medicine was more debilitating to me than the vomiting, so I stopped taking the medicine. I think that they did not need to prescribe me something so strong, and the doctor did not warn me of the side effects I would likely experience.

I was prescribed Promethazine after I got my wisdom teeth pulled and was given Percocet and vomited. I also felt naseous after taking pain medicaiton (especially since I was unable to eat much with the medication due to having oral surgery). The Promethazine was amazing because it stopped the nausea and vomiting. It also made me very tired but I didn't mind because it was nice being asleep while I was in pain. I'm sure the combine drowsiness effects of promethazine and percocet made me that much more sleepy as well.
