01 Dec 2009 I believe its a good drug on the market. It has been successful. The thing that I like the least about it is that its very dependent. Not sure if I have to quit, what route I would have to take.

05 Sep 2009 This drug causes severe and permanent side-effects. I strongly urge everyone to avoid this drug at all costs. Merck is lying right through their teeth about the safety of this drug. If you have hair loss, just shave your head and that's it! Do not destroy your body by going on these pills. Any doctor who continues to prescribe these pills and doesn't report adverse reactions to it should face the full force of the law!!!!

18 Aug 2009 THIS DRUG SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!!! It causes PERMANENT sexual dysfunction, swelling, fatigue, depression and sleep problems. Contrary to what Merck claims: these side-effects are NOT temporary. There should be a full investigation into how this drug got approved. It has completely destroyed my life! In 2003, I attempted to commit suicide as a direct result of the drug's after-effects. Other people are telling similar stories on the internet.

19 May 2009 Propecia is good drug on the market, and in my opinion one of the more successful ones. I have experienced hair regrowth, and less thinning. I have clearly noticed a difference. Its something that is long term, for some people to see effects over a year or more time frame. So have to be patient. Another drawback is that an individual becomes dependent, since I believe if you stop taking it, you might experience same problems of hair loss. My dermatologist recommended its ideal for individuals with recent hair loss, since I think it helps recuperate dead hair follicles that one might have had recently (back to 2 years). So not ideal for individuals who have had hair loss for longer period of time (couple of years +).

24 Apr 2009 I believe that propecia is a great drug. For me personally, I have no side effects. Even though it hasnt been 100 percent successful, I believe it has made a difference compared to other products in the market. I believe that its too expensive, one of the negatives of this drug.
