Common Uses:

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM this herb helps in the following:
Transforming dampness - low appetite, greasy tongue coat, tightness in the chest;
Warms the middle warmer (stomach/spleen) and descends rebellious qi - vomiting due to cold from spleen/stomach qi deficiency or stomach cold;
Transforms stagnation - fullness in the chest.

Off Label Uses:

None noted thus far.

Side Effects:
None noted currently.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in cases of qixu, blood deficient qixu (qi deficiency) and fire is high in lung and stomach with no cold dampness.

Not recommended in pregnant women; women planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.

About Round Cardamon Fruit

The Chinese name for this herb is Bai Dou Kou and it is also known as Cluster Fruit and White Cardamon. The pharmacological name it is known by is Fructus Amomi Kravanh. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM this herb helps in the following: Transforming dampness - low appetite, greasy tongue coat, tightness in the chest; Warms the middle warmer (stomach/spleen) and descends rebellious qi - vomiting due to cold from spleen/stomach qi deficiency or stomach cold; Transforms stagnation - fullness in the chest. Channels influenced by this herb include the lung; spleen; and stomach.
