14 Jun 2010 I was prescribed Skelaxin after I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. It takes a good hour to 2 hours to really start working. I still felt some moderate back pain when taking the drug, but overall it helped me get around and do simple movements.

27 Jul 2009 I take skelaxin to control muscle spasms in my low back, after having had 3 surgeries to fuse 4 vertebra including hardwear. It definetly does the job.

19 Mar 2009 Skelaxin improved my quality of life when I was suffering from acute neck and jaw spasms (following a dislocation). Works quickly to provide relief from painful muscle spasms. While taking Skelaxin in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory, I was basically pain free and able to sleep at night and procede with physical therapy by day. Worked better than benzodiazepenes or opiods. Non-habit forming. I still take it occasionally (in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory) to arrest acute "flare-ups". The only weird side effect: I am completely unable to open jars after taking it-- a little weak and uncoordinated. This is, however, a small price to pay for the relief I've received.
