The generic name of this medication is pentazocine w/naloxone - oral. The brand name is Talwin NX.

The active ingredients of this medication are naloxone hydrochloride, pentazocine hydrochloride and the inactive ingredients are colloidal silicon dioxide and dibasic calcium phosphate.

It is primarily used to provide relief from moderate-to-severe pain.

This medication is manufactured by Pentazocine Pharmaceuticals.

Common Uses:

This medication is used to relieve moderate-to-severe pain.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Confusion;
Constipation;
Diarrhea;
Disturbed dreams;
Dizziness;
Drowsiness;
Flushing;
Lightheadedness;
Nausea;
Stomach upset;
Vision changes.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not advisable in people with:
Asthma;
Colitis;
History of substance abuse and allergies;
Kidney problems;
Liver problems;
Lung problems;
Seizures;
Severe diarrhea;

Drowsiness-causing antihistamines like diphenhydramine;
