01 Mar 2020 I'm 57 and thought I was pretty fit and strong until I got diagnosed with Hashimtotos and then osteoporosis a few months later. My joint pain started soon after I began taking Evista which was prescribed to assist with my osteoporosis. I ditched the Evista after about 11 months and came good. Then was prescribed Tibolone, and gradually the same thing happened so I stopped taking that too. I've now been off it two weeks and joint pain much improved. By the way, I also got a lot of gradually worsening muscle pain after I started osteoporosis treatment, but that disappeared when I stopped taking the calcium and Vit D supplements. What to do next about the osteporosis? Sigh....

04 Dec 2017 I have experienced joint, muscle pains as well as weight gain and bloating, all of which my consultant said are conditions and expectations of ageing!! Having read this i’m Now angry and confused with a consideration of stopping tibolone!

20 Nov 2017 Tibolone has effectively stopped hot flushes and night sweats, and helps maintain libido. I am experiencing severe joint and muscle pain, and I am wondering if this is caused by Tibolone. Joint and muscle pain are listed as side effects. I am also experiencing some dizziness.

05 May 2017 I was prescribed Tibolone due to surgical menopause for Stage IV endometriosis at age 35. I am very concerned about side effects that seem to have resulted from taking it. I have severe muscle and joint pain in every joint/muscle, which is deteriorating and dramatic weight gain when my weight had remained stable - even for the years post surgery when I tried to avoid taking HRT. It has stopped my hot flushes and enabled me to sleep through the night. I am considering stopping the drug but am worried about osteoporosis and I have a very demanding job and can't manage without sleep. It feels like catch 22.

12 Mar 2013 Have had every hospital test in the book to find out what was wrong with me. All tests showed normal even though I was very unwell. i had severe pains in my hip/pelvis, knee, elbows,feet, shoulders and my hands were so painfull,and swollen. I also had an inflamed colon and ulceration and I felt permanently tired. The consultants were puzzled as to why the colon appeared so abnormal and all the biopsies showed normal. It was only when I remembered that these symptoms came around the time I was changed HRT. My doctor spotted some vague reference to muscle/joint pain low down on the side effects, and I came off the tablets. Within one day the pains started to subside, and I felt normal.
