It helped with my mood swings and anxiety but I gained 20lbs within 5 months on the pill. It also made me retain alot of water.

This is my second month of taking this medication. I have tried 5 other birth control pills in the past and they all caused MAJOR problems with anger, depression, and mood swings. So far, I have not experinced any of those symptoms with this pill. I have noticed some slight anxiety, but I am not sure if these are due to the pills or situations in my life right now. My three biggest complaints are 1) I have a lot more cramping than I did on any other pill, 2) I experince nausea most everyday, and 3) I have developed moderate acne that was never there before I started taking these pills. I might post another review after another 2 months and see if there is any difference.

I took Tri-Legest fe for 2 years. It started off great. then after a year i started to develop a terrible pain in my lower abdomen that would not go away. It would get worse during pms. Pms was horrible cramps were terrible, breast tenderness, mood swings like a psyco. I finally told my gyno during my last check up. She took me off tri legest and switched me to junel fe. So far so good. The plus to tri legest is you have very light periods. Mine lasted only 3 days and were hardly there, but i also started spotting a lot during the second week of pills. So i would say try it out. But if you have any side effects like abdominal pain, ovary pain, switch to a different pill. Since i switched a month ago. the pain Ive been dealing with not stop for a year and a half has finally stopped.
