21 Jun 2010 I play a lot of sports and only take this as needed which is 1 to 2 tablets per week (50mg/tablet). I find it very effective for my lifestyle in helping me enjoy playing as hard as I do. I find Ultram to be quite effective at controlling pain from sports injuries for considerably longer than vicodin with reduced dry mouth, reduced constipation, less inflamation and I remain more mentally alert.

19 May 2010 I began taking these after a car accident caused permanent damage in my right shoulder. I was taking 8 per day and it was like I was taking caffeine pills. It made it difficult to sleep because it made me feel very jittery.

19 Mar 2009 The Ultram caused slight dizziness in the beginning which stopped after taking it for a while. It caused really significant memory problems initially. Now, when taking the medication, I mix my words up sometimes; but I do not feel confused. I can pretty much function normally. But I would use this drug cautiously in the elderly! I will have a dull headache after taking the medication and I cannot take it late in the day or I will be awake all night long. I take the med for pain with rheumatoid arthritis. I usuallly just take one a day in the morning in the cold months. I don't think this would be a good med for acute pain but for chronic pain it is more effective than over the counter medications and does not appear to be addictive. I don't seem to have any problems if I don't take any. It gives me energy which I do not have without it.
