The generic name of this medication is Quinapril and brand name is Accupril.
The active ingredient of this medication is quinapril hydrochloride.
Accupril is manufactured by Pfizer.
Mainly used in lowering high blood pressure and managing heart failure.

Common Uses:

This medication is used in lowering high blood pressure and managing heart failure.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Chest pain
Coughing
Diarrhea
Difficulty breathing
Dizziness
Headache
Lightheadedness
Nausea
Persistent dry cough
Tiredness
Vomiting

Cautions / Warnings:

Not advisable in patients allergic to any ingredient in Accupril.
Not advisable during the second or third trimesters of pregnancy.
Not advisable in patients with history of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue).

Drug Interactions:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (eg ibuprofen, indomethacin) or salicylates (eg aspirin)
Clozapine, cyclosporine, dextran sulfate, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (eg simvastatin)
Clozapine, iron salts (eg ferrous sulfate), lithium, NSAIDs (eg ibuprofen, indomethacin).

it was good, kept it under control. and that is all you want with a Bp medication

it's very hard for me to judge my experience with any one drug. I take at least a dozen medications, so I'm not sure what side effects are from what drugs. I believe the accupril was prescribed to me for my Raynauds and it seems to help.
