The generic name of this medication is nifedipine and brand names are Adalat CC and Procardia XL.
The active ingredient of this medication is nifedipine.
Adalat CC is manufactured by Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
Mainly used in treating high blood pressure.

This medication is used in treating high blood pressure.

Side Effects:
Constipation
Dizziness
Flushing
Giddiness
Headache
Heartburn
Heat sensation
Lightheadedness
Nausea
Weakness

Cautions / Warnings:

Not advisable in patients with allergies to any ingredient in Adalat CC Sustained-Release Tablets.
Not advisable during pregnancy and pre-pregnancy.
Not advisable in patients with heart valve problems, heart failure, heart shock, heart disease, swelling of the hands/feet.

Drug Interactions:
Barbiturates (eg phenobarbital), carbamazepine, or rifampin
Beta-blockers (eg propranolol), cimetidine, cyclosporine, fluconazole, fluoxetine, Imatinib, itraconazole, ketanserin, magnesium salts (eg injectable magnesium sulfate).
Quinazolines (eg metolazone), quinidine, or ranitidine.
Beta-blockers (eg propranolol), cyclosporine, digoxin, hydantoins (eg phenytoin).
Quinidine, theophylline, or vinca alkaloids (eg vincristine).
