The active ingredient of this medication is ibuprofen 50 mg (NSAID) and inactive ingredients are acetic acid, artificial flavor, butylated hydroxytoluene, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid monohydrate, edetate disodium, glycerin.

Mainly used in reducing fever and to relieve minor aches and pains due to the common cold, flu, headache and toothache.

About Ibuprofen

Ibuprofen INN (from the earlier and no longer correct nomenclature iso-butyl-propanoic-phenolic acid) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) originally marketed as Brufen and since then under various other trademarks (See tradenames section). It is used for relief of symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea, fever and as an analgesic especially when there is an inflammatory component. Ibuprofen is known to have an antiplatelet (blood-thinning) effect, though it is relatively mild and short-lived when compared to that of aspirin or other more well-known antiplatelet drugs.
