The active ingredient of is Flunisolide.

Aerobid is manufactured by Forest Pharmaceuticals.

Mainly prescribed for people who need long-term treatment to control and prevent the symptoms of asthma.

Common Uses:

Prescribed for people who need long-term treatment to control and prevent the symptoms of asthma.

Off Label Uses:

The off label use of this medication is that it may also used to reduce or eliminate the use of corticosteroids.

Side Effects:
Cold symptoms
Diarrhea
Flu
Headache
Infection of the upper respiratory tract
Nasal congestion
Nausea
Sore throat
Unpleasant taste
Upset stomach
Vomiting

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
This medication is not for treatment of prolonged severe asthma attacks where more intensive measures are required.
If patient is allergic or sensitive to AeroBid or other steroid drugs.
