Common Uses:

This medication is used in Treating type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Off Label Uses:

Side Effects:
Constipation;
Diarrhea;
Dizziness;
Drowsiness;
Fatigue;
Headache;
Indigestion;
Lightheadedness;
Loss of appetite;
Nausea;
Stuffy or runny nose;
Vomiting;
Weakness.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for following conditions:
Who are allergic to any ingredient in Bromocriptine Mesylate or to ergot alkaloids;
Who are breast-feeding;
Who have fainting (syncopal) migraine headaches;
who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.

Drug Interactions:
Serotonin 5-HT1 receptor agonists (eg, sumatriptan);
Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole), beta-blockers (eg, propranolol), ergot alkaloids (eg, ergotamine), HIV protease inhibitors (eg, ritonavir), ketolides (eg, telithromycin), macrolides (eg, erythromycin);
Haloperidol, metoclopramide, phenothiazines (eg, chlorpromazine), or pimozide;
Chloramphenicol, probenecid, salicylates (eg, aspirin), or sulfonamides.
