25 Jun 2011 I used doxycycline for acne on my face and back. I did not notice much help specifically from the doxycycline; i was also using strong topical cleansers and my outbreaks seemed to revolve around the times when i would get lax using the cleansers (doxycycline not withstanding). Additionally, i developed nausea, dark foul smelling diarrhea, and heartburn. I do not recommend this drug for use with acne.

28 Jun 2010 Great medicine to clear up my acne. In conjunction with a product like benzamycin, my skin cleared up in a few weeks and I've battled acne for many years.

01 Jun 2010 Doxycycline helped me visibly reduce my acne with very little to no side effects. It is just an antibiotic, not an acne treatment, so it works best supplemented with other treatments like benzamycin and retin-a micro. Taking doxycycline did not cause much, if any, discomfort.
