Severe muscle and joint pain. Back pain between and around shoulder blades, legs weak and have trouble with memory. Dry eyes and trouble sleeping.

My Dr. says he will schedule a followup lipid test in a year. Seems like a long time to wait to do an evaluation.

I have lost a lot of weight and my family have begun to think I have dementia when I think it is a side effect of the medication

Get off fenofibrate immediately. It is extremely dangerous. Read other patient reviews: http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=19304&name=TRICOR+%28MICRONIZED%29 Good luck to you.
