Definitely worked to lower my heart rate. The side effects, though, are very intolerable. My stomach is always upset, and I have constant heart burn. I could eat oatmeal all day and still have heart burn. I also have constant headaches and dizziness. Before this started I exercised about 5 days a week with weights and cardio. Now I can not do that, because of all the side effects of Lopressor. My vision starts to black out when I exercise and I become very dizzy. I assume it's lowering my blood pressure as well as heart rate.
