31 May 2012 There are 2 kinds of niacin flushless & regular. I use flushless & can take 1000 mg daily. If you take the regular start with 25 mg and work up slowly to maybe 100 mg depending on how you tolerate the drug. The regular will make you flush. I have had no real side effects and my feet have begun to have a tingling sensation resembling the feeling you get when your foot has been asleep & begins to wake up. Have not been taking long enough to guarantee that this is a positive sign yet. Hope that it is. I have scleroderma and I am on the antibiotic protocol and need to have good circulation to heal.
