05 Nov 2013 I'm the person who submitted the remarks dated "26 Fed 2013". I have not had any problems at all since going off Flomax. I cannot tell you what was happening when those strange symptoms occurred - maybe some weird panic attacks, or possibly a real condition. The combination of high stress levels and double-dose of Flomax was NOT good for me. Like I said before, if side effects worry you then get off the stuff. I do recall retrograde ejaculation whe I first went onto Flomax. I was disturbed by it - but my doctor at the time wrote it off as "minor". It does tennd to go away after your body adapts to the drug. But one of the great frustrations about prostate problems in general is that MD's are equipped to discuss medical issues, but they are often horrible about talking about sex. If you get a really serious case of prostate enlargement - it's a form of personal torture and it will drive you crazy. My suggestion is to avoid letting this condition upset your life and your marriage - consider the surgical options. I regret staying on Flomax as long as I did .... things have been great since I had surgery on the prostate and my sex life is much improved. Surgery will take away your ability to ejaculate, but it's honestly not a big deal compared to the real hassles of an enlarged prostate gland. Good luck!
