The generic name of this medication is pseudoephedrine and brand names are Cenafed, Chlor Trimeton Nasal Decongestant, Decofed, Dimetapp Decongestant, Drixoral Decongestant Non-Drowsy, Elixsure Decongestant, Genaphed, Kid Kare Drops, Ridafed, Seudotabs, Sudafed, Sudrine, Suphedrin, Triaminic Softchews Allergy Congestion, Unifed.

The active ingredients of this medication are pseudoephedrine and pseudoephedrine sulfate.

Afrinol is manufactured by Goliath's Ayrton Drugs Manufacturing Ltd.

It is mainly used to treat nasal and sinus congestion or to alleviate congestion of the tubes that drain fluid from the inner ear, called eustachian tubes.

Common Uses:

Afrinol is used to treat nasal and sinus congestion or to alleviate congestion of the tubes that drain fluid from your inner ears called eustachian tubes.

Side Effects:
Blurred vision
Constipation
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Drowsiness
Dry mouth, nose or throat
Excitability
Headache
Increased sweating
Loss of appetite
Nausea
Nervousness or anxiety
Trouble sleeping
Upset stomach
Vomiting
Weakness

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
If allergic to this medication.
During pregnancy.
If there is hyperthyroidism, diabetes, CV disease, increased IOP or prostatic hypertrophy.

Drug Interactions:
Furazolidone, guanethidine, methyldopa.
MAOIs.
Urinary acidifiers (ammonium chloride)
Urinary alkalinizers (sodium bicarbonate)
