User Comments about Cymbalta
04 Aug 2018 Cymbalta created a horrific experience for me. I stopped taking Cymbalta due to feeling constantly tired and fatigued. While taking Cymbalta I slept for 12 hours per night and was still tired. I was not experiencing depression, but extreme somnolence. I also had several nightmares each night and nighttime sweating while taking Cymbalta. Now that I am off of Cymbalta, I sleep 7-8 hours and feel energetic and in a better mood. I only have a nightmare every few weeks now and no sweating. Getting off of Cymbalta was excruciatingly painful. I experienced nausea, vomiting, headaches, fatigue, dizziness, brain zaps and vertigo for weeks. I gradually reduced my dose over several weeks to hopefully avoid withdrawal symptoms with no luck. My doctors never warned me about this medication. Eli Lilly claims that this drug only caused withdrawal symptoms in approximately 1 percent of the population, but it's actually over 50 percent if you read studies about this medication. Eli Lilly is deceptive and doesn't want people to get off of this medication. This is why the smallest dosage of Cymbalta manufactured is 20mg so tapering off this medication is very difficult. If I would have known about the side effects and withdrawal symptoms I would have NEVER taken Cymbalta.

08 Apr 2017 It's made a tremendous difference in the level of pain I perceive in my OA hip. Without it, I can't work. Will be having a total hip replacement this year, but this drug allowed me to delay that operation for a couple of years. Helped me with SAD and I don't get weepy over sappy movies and commercials. On the sexual side, it does make it more difficult to achieve orgasm but is easily compensated for by dosage timing, just don't try to have an orgasm within 8 hours of taking dose.

11 Nov 2013 Problems with this drug are: overstimulation, feeling restless, involuntary clenching of teeth and jaw-clenching. Even small twitching of whole muscle groups like the shoulders. Cymbalta is kind of like a toned-down version of Prozac or Zoloft in that it doesn't have such a powerful stimulant/antidepressant profile. But it is nasty, you can tell from the side-effects that taking Cymbalta is not healthy for you. No way would I recommend being on Cymbalta if there is any better option available to you. Also even the 30 milligrams per day seems too strong.
