Licensed for treatment of ED or erectile dysfunction.

Functions by blocking the ingredient which causes reversing of erection. Thus, enough blood is retained in the penis, which improves and sustains an erection.

Generic name of Levitra is vardenafil HCL, which is also the active ingredient of this medication.

The inactive ingredients of Levitra include:
colloidal anhydrous silica
crospovidone
hypromellose
iron oxide red
iron oxide yellow
macrogol 400
magnesium stearate
microcrystalline cellulose
titanium dioxide

Manufactured by Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
Marketed by GlaxoSmithKline and Schering-Plough.

Common Uses:

Used in the treatment of ED or erectile dysfunction or impotence.

Off Label Uses:

Used in the treatment of:
Pulmonary hypertension.
Raynaud's phenomenon.

Side Effects:
Back pain;
Blurred vision;
Dizziness;
Facial flushing;
Headache;
Hypertension;
Indigestion;
Nausea;
Runny nose or rhinitis;
Sinusitis;
Sleeplessness or insomnia.

Cautions / Warnings:

People with a history of cardiovascular disease must inform their physician prior to taking Levitra.
In rare instances heart, brain, and blood vessels have been affected.
Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes or non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
Not licensed for administration in women.
